Railway field engineering
In the railway field, CAAR can support its clients in the development of products or sub-systems, especially regarding the carriage and its components and trims.
For what concerns the infrastructures, CAAR has significant competence in rail signaling systems and rail management systems, TLC systems, superstructures, electric powertrains, mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, and civil engineering structures linked to railway manufacturing.
In particular, CAAR has developed in Brazil a project consisting in two lines of the city of San Paolo subway railway.
How CAAR operates in railway field
To design a railway system, many different competences and skills are required (transportation, infrastructure, utilities), even more so if the project requires an active dialogue with the territory, or very important and structured clients.
Designing systems in the railway field means minimizing environmental impact, proposing structural and geotechnical solutions that do not compromise the hydrogeological structure, using containment measures for sound pollution and paying attention to railway safety issues.
CAAR strongly believes this approach is fundamental: the success of a project is linked to the ability of said project to collaborate with the territory, to be understood and supported by its stakeholders.
CAAR is able to offer consulting services in the railway engineering field regarding the following activities:
- Design;
- Environmental impact assessments;
- Project Management and Site Management;
- Cost engineering and controlling of works;
- Coordination and planning of activities during construction phase;
- Environmental management;
- Technical/Commercial support;
- Structures monitoring.
